Bought this to spray a homemade barbecue smoker I've built out of an oil drum, mostly because it's Hammerite, everybody has heard of it, right? Anyway, sprayed it direct onto the outside of the steel drum and it covered really well. It also dried really quickly considering it was outdoors on a cold day well below the recommended temperature. Did a test burn of almost 5 kg of charcoal in a basket at the bottom of the drum, the inside has turned all shades of blue (no paint), not touched the painted outside. Price Wise, I got three (optimistic) cans delivered for about £8.50 each when I needed nearer 5, went to a well known car accessory shop where I paid nearly £10 each for the other two. My advice is shop around online because there is a vast difference on price for this. As far as I could see this stuff is only available in matt black, which was fine for me but if you're looking for a piano shine finish, it's not for you. It would seem other products are available in different colours at about the same price if that's what you need, but remember, they're not Hammerite.
