Ensure battery is fully charged.Oil change service intervals: after first 20 hours, then every 100 hours or 12 months whichever is sooner.Light DutyLight duty rating is applicable for supplying power in portable and/or intermittent applications. The average load should not be lowerthan 30% or higher than 80% of the rated output of the generator. Continuous use shouldnot exceed 5 hours and annual operation should not exceed 500hours to be within the sanctioned parameters.Emergency / Standby DutyEmergency duty rating is applicable for supplying power for theduration of a utility power outage. No overload capability is available.Average load should not be lower than 30% or higher than 80% of the rated output of the generator. Annual operation should not exceed 500 hours to bewithin the sanctioned parameters. Non AVR alternators have a large fluctuation in voltage and can damage sensitive electronic equipment. If you require a portable generator to replicate the mains supply, it is recommended that a pure sine wave inverter generator is used. Optional ATS PackageFor added convenience, this diesel generator can be configured to work with an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), or a simpler manual changeover switch (MTS / MCS). The automatic transfer set up will detect a loss of power from the mains, turn the generator on, and then turn it off again when power from the mains returns. This makes backing up your home or business completely automatic. However, the more cost effective solution is to set this generator up with a manual changeover switch. In the event of a power cut, simply turn the generator on using the key or a '2 wire start', and once up to speed, simply turn the manual changeover switch to begin powering your home/the load via the generator. When the power returns, turn the manual changeover switch back to mains power, and turn the generator off.
