Everbuild Everflex 115 GP Building Mastic (Brown) A compound based on oil, building mastic is used in traditional construction for general pointing and sealing of different joints. An excellent weatherproof seal is provided by Everbuild 115 Mastic.

USES:

• Sticks to concrete, brick, wood, metals, and glass without the need for a primer.
• Perimeter points both inside and outside around windows and doors.
• Usually used to seal vertical building seams that move slowly and composite sectional panels.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Make sure surfaces are dry, spotless, grease- and dust-free. Enough time should be given to new mortar or concrete to dry and mature. Remove the cartridge's tip being careful not to sever the thread. Apply the nozzle, then cut at a 45-degree angle, leaving an aperture that is little bigger than the opening that needs to be filled. Apply with a regular sealant gun, being sure to keep the trigger under even pressure and the gun angled towards the surface at all times. For a strong bond, smooth down the sealant with a spatula or piece of wood dipped in white spirit or linseed oil. Masking tape can be applied to both sides of the joint to improve its appearance; it should be removed five minutes after application.

• Applying to new mortar or concrete should wait 28 days to lower surface alkalinity.
• Use Weather Mate; never mix with bitumen or asphalt.
• May discolour delicate natural stones like marble and slate.

• Use only where movement is more than +/-5%.
• Use Puraflex 40 in situations where the product is likely to be interfered with or damaged (e.g., floor joints), as it takes 24-48 hours to peel.
