Everbuild 825 Tecnic Silicone Sealant 380ml

Based on a filled alkoxy curing system, Everbuild 825 Tecnic Silicone is a high-performance, low modulus, neutral curing silicone sealant designed especially to enable longer tooling time on bigger joints. In applications like perimeter pointing around all kinds of windows and door frames, weather sealing in most outdoor applications, and expansion joints to stone, brick, concrete, and composite panels, this sealer shines. Where stress does not arise until full cure, it effectively manages construction and dilation joints. The quality and dependability of this sealant are guaranteed by its ISO 11600 F25LM and G25LM certification.

USES:

• Powder-coated aluminium, wood, and PVCu perimeter pointing, both internally and externally.
• Seals soft metals including lead, copper, and zinc and acts as an adhesive and sealer on PVCu, plastic trims and components.
• Ideal for weather sealing, draught proofing, glass sealing, curtain walling, joint sealing to pre-formed panels, parapet and roof weather sealing.
• Ideal as an expansion joint sealant and with precast concrete and masonry products.
• Insulated glass units bedding and sealing.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Prior to large-scale application, adhesion testing are recommended even though Everbuild 825 Tecnic Silicone typically does not need a primer on most surfaces. Use Sikaflex Primer 3N on porous surfaces or for immersed joints or weak adhesion. Prime using Sika Aktivator 205 for better adhesion to nonporous surfaces.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Not to be used with neoprene, bitumen, asphalt, and some organic elastomers.
• Not overpaintable, inappropriate for applications requiring substrates that emit oils, solvents, or plasticisers, or for building aquariums. Use Silicone 565 Clean Room Silicone in food-grade applications; not appropriate as a mirror adhesive.
• Steer clear of use around swimming pool joints and watch out for possible yellowing while bricks are drying from exposure to bleach or HCl-based cleaners.
