Everbuild General Purpose Silicone Clear is A multipurpose acetoxy cure silicone sealant, Silicone Clear cures fast to give a high-strength, permanently flexible waterproof cover. It has a fungicide in it to keep the sealant from growing the kinds of bacteria, mildew, and black mould that are often present in high-humidity environments.

USES:

• Sealing basins, showers, bathtubs, and other sanitary goods.
• As a panel, cladding and trim adhesive for PVCu.
• Laminates and worktops sealing.
• To seal aluminium gutters.
• Draft proofing in general.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Dust-free, dry, clean surfaces are required. Before application, remove any old sealant, mastic joints, or loose or peeling surface coatings. For best adhesion, glass, steel and aluminium should be cleaned with a special solvent before application. Priming may be necessary for porous surfaces; try a small area first.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Not to be used in the production of aquariums. Utilise EVERFLEX AQUAMATE.
• Not to be applied in place of asphalt or bitumen. Try WEATHERMATE.
• Not to be used on very porous surfaces like freshly laid concrete or granite. Either use SILICONE 450 or prime.
• Not to be used on surfaces that could bleed plasticisers, solvents, or oils.
• Use neither next to nor together with the edge sealant on double-glazed units. USE SILICONE 450.
• Never use for uPVC perimeter pointing. Utilise SILICONE 450 or SILICONE HM60.
• Never use on brass or lead, two delicate metals. Try LEADMATE SILICONE.
  Not very paintable.
